Rescue A Million
G&G Capital is proud to support the Rescue a Million and Every Child a Hero programs.
Rescue a Million is planting a million trees to rescue a million children from poverty.
Each tree planted and each child rescued is an important part of our mission to save the earth's most precious resources- children and the environment. Working closely with various project partners, Rescue a Million is planting trees to benefit the environment and donating money to provide micro-credit loans to help entire families begin their journey out of poverty. Many of the trees we plant will be grown for lumber, in addition to our reforestation, conservation, and community development programs. When these trees are ready for harvest in seven to ten years, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the lumber will be donated back to the Rescue a Million, providing additional funds to plant more trees and help more children through our self-perpetuating program.
Every Child a Hero
Rescue a Million has launched an educational program in the United States called Every Child a Hero.
Rescue a Million believes there is a hero inside every child. We are partnering with parents, teachers, and schools to help children recognize, develop, and manifest the hero within them by making positive choices in their lives.
The program also provides a meaningful context to help engage children in their academic learning, simultaneously building their self-esteem through service learning. As the program expands, additional resources will be developed for teachers and parents to utilize in the classroom and at home.
Hundreds of students have already decided to taken action as a result of what they have learned through the Every Child a Hero program. These students have proved that one is never too young to be a hero!
