Dr Albert Piacente is a Philosophy professor at NYU teaching logic, ethics and society, and
modern and ancient philosophy. Albert is a regular guest professor in Florence Italy where he can endulge in his passions of philosophy, architecture and history. During his time at NYU, he received numerous Outstanding Teacher awards. He also previously tought at the New School, John Jay College the University of Virginia and Medgar Evers College. He was a Department Fellow at UVA, co-Director at the Center for Applied Ethics at Pace University and author of three books. Albert received his Ph.D. in Philosophy at the University of Virginia, his MA in Philosophy at the University of Michigan, and his BA at Rutgers University.

In 2001, Janet founded "Reunion of Hearts"; Reconciling and Reconnecting Estranged Families", the nation's first non-profit support group of its kind, dedicated to the emotional healing and reuniting of estranged family members.
